White bread
Baltasis Pyragas makes traditional Lithuanian bread from rye and wheat flour and natural sourdough which matures for a week in large vessels similar to the old kneading troughs.
As a result, the products remain fresh for along time and retain all the nutritional elements. Brown bread is rich in fibre which is particularly good for the digestive system. Lithuania takes pride in its bread which is produced using complex time-tested production technologies where the dough for rye bread is mixed with scalded and natural sourdough. For customers with digestive problems, Baltasis Pyragas offers easily digested baked white bread which provides the energy and nutrition needed. In the past, this bread used to be served on special occasions and was even called a 'white pie.' Baltasis Pyragas supplies frozen products to hotels, restaurants, and other caterers with an expiry date of six months. Freshly baked bread is frozen to -40°C in the blast freezer within 3–4 hours and thus does not lose any of its nutrition or flavour. Frozen bread is stored and transported at a temperature of -18°C. The defrosted bread must be consumed within five days.
